PBS affiliate, Blue Ridge Public Television, will be filming "1964" performances on November 29th and 30th, 2005. The final product is to be distributed to public television stations on a nationwide scale. I'm told that the end result will be something like "Spinal Tap meets A Hard Day's Night". About "1964"...The Tribute:
Twenty years of research and performing have made "1964" masters of
their craft. "1964" has performed throughout the world, including to a
sold out crowd at Carnegie Hall. "1964" recreates an early 60s live
Beatles concert, with period instruments, clothing, hair styles, and
on-stage banter. Beatle boots, vintage costumes and equipment, on-stage
mannerisms and speaking voices, and the unmistakable harmonies of the
lads from Liverpool make "1964" the most accurate and fun Beatles
tribute to date.

Those who should know love "1964":
* "The resemblance was uncanny, it sent shivers down my spine. It
was just like the boys...BORN AGAIN BEATLES!" -- Alistair Taylor, Former
President, Apple Records.
* "The performance, professionalism, and musicianship make the
illusion complete. '1964'...The Tribute creates MAGIC!" - Dick Clark
* Louise Harrison, George Harrison's sister, was so moved after
seeing a "1964" performance, she held a party in her home in their
honor.
* "1964" ... The Tribute is the only Beatles tribute band with a
United States Federal Court order defining a written agreement with
Apple Corps. Ltd., allowing them to perform their show anywhere in the
world. ("1964" is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple Corps Ltd.)
